A cyclic voltammogramm for Pd(111) recorded in \(0.1 \; \mathrm{M}\) \(\ce{ HClO4 }\) at a scan rate of \(10 \; \mathrm{mV\,s^{-1}}\) from Figure 6a in M. Hara et al. The Pd(111) electrode was prepared by:

  • Pd wire etched in aqua regia, rinsed with Milli-Q water and dried.
  • Forming of liquid bead by using an electron beam in a vacuum chamber.
  • Polishing of the bead to achieve the desired surface orientation.
  • Inductive annealed for 6h at 900 °C in 5N argon.
  • 15 min inductive annealing before each measurement.
