The Ir(111) electrode was prepared by:
- High temperature annealing at about 1900°C in a nitrogen hydrogen atmosphere for 100s.
- Transferred to the electrochemical cell under 5N argon or in a 6N nitrogen stream.
- Hanging meniscus configuration.
