The Ir(100) electrode was prepared by:

  • High temperature annealing at about 1900°C in a nitrogen-hydrogen atmosphere for 1 min.
  • Cool down in the gas stream for 2 min.
  • Transferred to the electrochemical cell under protecting gas stream.
  • Hanging meniscus configuration.
