tags: BCV

A cyclic voltammogramm for Pt(111) recorded in \(0.1 \; \mathrm{M}\) \(\ce{ HClO4 }\) at a scan rate of \(50 \; \mathrm{mV\,s^{-1}}\) from Figure 2tl in D. Strmcnik et al. Enhanced electrocatalysis of the oxygen reduction reaction based on patterning of platinum surfaces with cyanide. Nature chemistry, 2\(10\):880–885, 2010

Further information

The figure shows raw data.

The Pt(111) electrode was prepared by:

  • Inductively heated in a mixed 3% hydrogen / argon atmosphere at 1100 K for 10 min.
  • Cooled slowly in that atmosphere.
  • Covered with a droplet of MilliQ water.
